The City of Pratt manages Greenlawn Cemetery. The cemetery uses a unique Kiosk computerized system to map, locate and maintain historical information relating to the cemetery. The cemetery is governed by a cemetery board.
The board consisting of five members who receive no compensation for their services, are to be appointed by the City Commission. No person holding any official position under the city shall be appointed a Cemetery Board member while holding such office. In addition to the five members appointed by the commission, the City Manager or his/her designated representative shall be an ex-officio member with no vote in board matters.
The Cemetery Board Members hold office for three years. Each year, on or before the first day of February, the Commission appoints a successor to replace the Member(s) who is retiring. The Commission also has the authority to remove any member for misconduct or neglect of duty. Vacancies in the Cemetery Board Members are also filled by commission appointment.
The Cemetery Board Members are responsible for making recommendations to City of Pratt Commission and their staff for the following:
- Caring
for graves and beautifying Greenlawn Cemetery;
- The use
of expenditures of cemetery funds for the maintenance, care
and improvement of Greenlawn Cemetery;
- The use
of expenditures of all funds deposited in the endowment fund
of Greenlawn Cemetery that are not designated for a specific
purpose.

These charges
and prices were recommended at a regular meeting of the Cemetery
Board on August 19, 2003. The Pratt City Commission on November
03, 2003 approved these changes and prices.
