Pratt Recreation offers youth and adults a variety of activities and interests year round. Programs range from arts and crafts to yoga and include all traditional sports. A summer youth program if facilitated during the months of June and July and continues to grow in popularity.

The Recreation department also hosts many state, national and local softball and baseball tournaments.

Recreation Facilities:

  1. Green Sports Complex - A 2 million dollar sports complex on 33 acres was completed in 2004 and hosts numerous tournaments. It is a 4 diamond softball –baseball complex that the city continues to develop.
  2. Ellis D Kinney Swimming Pool - State’s second largest municipal swimming pool complete with water slide.
  3. Walter Blake Tennis Complex - Lighted Tennis courts contains ten tennis courts plus handball courts.
  4. Mae Dennis Park - Large open area park used for recreational soccer, flag football, playground equipment and a Frisbee golf course.
  5. Municipal Building - Large Gymnasium used for recreation basketball and volleyball.
  6. Other baseball/softball, outdoor volleyball and horseshoe pitching facilities located in various parks around the city:
    Sixth Street Park, Cherry Street Park, and Lemon Park
  7. South Main Street Park offers a skate park and basketball courts.

The contractors will begin work this week on the waterline for the main street project. Watch for activity beginning soon. Please park accordingly.


The City of Pratt would like anyone who has sewer drain problems on the lowest floor of your home to call the City crews first before calling a plumber. City crews will check the sewer mains to determine if the problem is in the main or in your private line at no charge. This may help avoid an unnecessary bill and prevent damage to your home.
