Overview

The Pratt City Commission is a governing body that consists of five elected members. Each one of these commissioners is elected to a three year term, with his or her term expiring in alternating years.

Special meetings may be called by the mayor or acting mayor, on the written request of any member of the commission. This written request must specify the purpose of the meeting.

The chairperson of the Commission holds the official title of mayor. Each year, the Commission chooses its own chairperson. The chairperson will hold this title of mayor for a year.
