Economic Development
The Pratt Area Economic Development Corporations is an aggressive organization that works in conjunction with the city, county and the Pratt Area Chamber of Commerce to enhance the business climate for new and existing businesses. A Neighborhood Revitalization Rebate is available on new construction and low interest loan programs are available for small businesses.
Two industrial sites, Prairie Parkway Business Park and Pratt Airport Industrial Park, have available space with enhanced technology infrastructure. The sites are ideal for light manufacturing, service businesses or corporate offices.
Pratt is a regional trade center for a 50 mile radius with a trade pull factor of 1.3. The unemployment rate for the City of Pratt is low; however, labor surveys show that Pratt draws a workforce from a 30- to 50-mile radius.
New Development
Among the most recent developments in Pratt include the addition of Casey's, Arby's, Tractor Supply and Donut Palace as new businesses in our area. The Parrish Hotel and Pratt Apartment Complex have undergone major renovations providing modern apartment living. Plans for construction of a new dental facility, a movie theater, and a duplex housing complex are also in progress.
Pratt has recently developed Sandy Creek Development which is ready for construction of new homes. Plus many new and exciting things are also in the early stages of negotiation. Pratt is excited to have so many good things happening.
